Afrikaans Trilingual Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a fluent speaker of Afrikaans, English and at least one additional language to help improve large‑scale language models. As a freelance AI trainer, you will work remotely with cutting‑edge tools to evaluate and refine AI‑generated text, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and naturalness across multiple languages.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Afrikaans and English content for grammatical correctness and idiomatic usage.
• Annotate and correct linguistic errors, providing detailed feedback for model improvement.
• Assess multilingual translations for clarity, fidelity, and cultural appropriateness.
• Collaborate with the evaluation team to develop language‑specific guidelines and protocols.

Required profile

• Fluency in Afrikaans and English, plus proficiency in at least one other language.
• Prior experience in translation, linguistics, content evaluation, or AI training is strongly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to articulate nuanced language differences.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
