Mid-Level Accountant

About the role

The Mid-Level Accountant will support day‑to‑day accounting and monthly bookkeeping for multiple business entities, including a manufacturing operation. The role is fully remote and requires handling bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, sales tax filings, and supporting manufacturing‑related accounting workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bookkeeping and reconcile all bank and credit‑card accounts for assigned entities.
• Maintain company books and financial records in Wave and QuickBooks Online, supporting financial review.
• Enter vendor bills, process payments via Bill.com, and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors.
• Upload and verify Amex and Divvy receipts against related transactions.
• Reconcile accounts receivable aging, follow up on customer payments, and support collections.
• Prepare and process US sales‑tax reports and filings, with training provided.
• Run payroll, prepare journal entries from payroll reports, and support payroll‑related accounting.
• Assist manufacturing accounting workflows, including sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, inventory tracking, and assembly builds, while learning ERPNext and transitioning from NetSuite.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.
• Solid general accounting knowledge covering bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP, and AR.
• Ability to learn new accounting and ERP systems and adapt to established processes.
