Field and Emergency Communications Officer

About the role

The Field and Emergency Communications Officer will lead the creation and coordination of evidence‑based, child‑focused communications that amplify the voices of vulnerable populations. Based in Quezon City, this role bridges field realities with public engagement to showcase World Vision’s impact in development and disaster response.

Key responsibilities

• Lead content strategy and development, producing stories, videos and materials that reflect program impact while adhering to brand and safeguarding standards (30%).
• Coordinate with field teams to gather compelling success stories, conduct interviews and ensure ethical documentation in both development and emergency contexts (10%).
• Activate rapid communications during disasters, delivering timely updates, human‑interest stories and visual assets for internal and external audiences (20%).
• Support donor visibility and partner communications through tailored content packages, briefing notes, media kits and talking points (30%).
• Uphold safeguarding policies, ensuring informed consent, cultural sensitivity and privacy protection in all field documentation (10%).

Required profile

• Proven experience in content strategy, storytelling and multimedia production for humanitarian or development programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with field staff, collect stories and manage ethical documentation.
• Experience in emergency communications, delivering rapid, accurate updates during crises.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding standards and ethical considerations in communications.
