Facilities Technician – Commercial Property Maintenance

About the role

The Technician supports resident satisfaction by ensuring building systems operate smoothly and service requests are resolved quickly. This position is essential to delivering high‑quality move‑ins, ongoing maintenance, and emergency response for commercial properties.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and kitchen equipment.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and systems for safety, functionality, and preventative maintenance; suggest upgrades and cost‑saving measures.
• Maintain fire and life‑safety systems, respond to emergencies, perform snow removal and carpentry as needed.
• Repair and replace building finishes such as ceilings, doors, walls, and flooring.
• Clean and service equipment, manage tools and materials responsibly.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in commercial property or facilities maintenance.
• Technical or vocational training in at least one trade (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record; commercial license may be required.
• Ability to work shift schedules, on‑call duties, overtime and respond to emergencies.
