External Communications Officer (Public Relations)

About the role

The External Communications Officer will lead the development and execution of public relations and external communication strategies to strengthen the company’s brand image. Reporting to the Communications Department Head (External), the role combines media engagement, event coordination, and support for social media initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing external communication and PR strategies.
• Prepare press releases, feature articles, and other external publications.
• Monitor media coverage, press pick‑ups, and online brand mentions.
• Document all PR and media‑related activities.
• Plan and execute corporate events such as MOA signings, partner engagements, and special events.
• Coordinate with media partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure proper execution, monitoring, and post‑event reporting.
• Gather content, stories, photos, and materials from business units for external use.
• Collaborate on PR collaterals including brochures, flyers, and posters.
• Support initiatives that promote and protect the corporate image.
• Assist with PR‑driven social media strategies to increase brand visibility.
• Monitor online platforms for brand and executive mentions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, English, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public relations, marketing, corporate communications, or events management.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Experience in external communications, media relations, and PR coordination.
• Highly organized, creative, and detail‑oriented.
• Willingness to work onsite in Makati.
