DevOps Engineer – L1 Operational Support

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide Level 1 operational support for our CI/CD pipelines, deployment environments, and cloud infrastructure. You will work in a shift‑based, 24/7 environment, monitoring builds, deployments, and containerized applications to ensure smooth delivery across production, staging, UAT, and development environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor build pipelines, deployment jobs, and automation workflows, escalating unresolved issues to L2/L3 engineers.
• Perform initial troubleshooting of build failures, deployment issues, and pipeline alerts.
• Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and incident records.
• Support CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Assist with code repository management, including access requests and branch monitoring.
• Monitor containerized applications on Docker and Kubernetes, reporting abnormalities.
• Provide basic cloud platform monitoring for AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams during incident investigation.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with version‑control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Basic knowledge of Linux command‑line operations.
• Understanding of Docker and introductory Kubernetes concepts.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL‑aligned incident management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift‑based support environment.
