Android Developer (Kotlin) – Fintech

About the role

Salmon, a fast‑growing fintech bank in the Philippines, is looking for an experienced Android Developer proficient in Kotlin to help build and enhance its flagship mobile banking app.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features from scratch with clean, high‑quality Kotlin code.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver user‑focused functionality.
• Integrate RESTful APIs using OkHttp and ensure smooth data flow.
• Conduct code reviews, refactor existing code, and maintain coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified during testing.
• Work closely with the QA team to guarantee thorough testing and high reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and modern app architectures (MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with dependency injection (Dagger) and custom navigation solutions.
• Proficient in integrating RESTful services, using OkHttp, coroutines, and Kotlin Flow.
• Hands‑on experience writing unit and integration tests (Mockito, JUnit).
• Familiarity with Git‑based workflows (GitLab) and release trains.
• Comfort with analytics/monitoring tools such as Amplitude, Firebase, and Splunk.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
