Water Treatment Operator

About the role

The Water Treatment Operator will ensure the Didipio underground mine’s water‑treatment plant runs safely, efficiently and in compliance with environmental and occupational standards. You will manage reagent supplies, monitor equipment, and support daily water‑quality goals.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System requirements.
• Refer to Safety Data Sheets when handling reagents and hazardous substances.
• Monitor water‑treatment facilities: check reagent levels, water tanks, pumps and pipelines for abnormalities.
• Assist with routine inspections, identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
• Verify accuracy of data entered into operational systems and raise records‑related concerns.
• Complete all required Standard Operating Procedure sign‑offs.

Required profile

• Behaviour aligned with OceanaGold values and the OceanaGold Way.
• At least a high‑school education.
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as skid loaders, forklifts, telehandlers or overhead cranes; haul‑truck experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in a water‑treatment environment is advantageous.
• Basic Life Support training.
• Valid driver’s licence (mandatory) and TESDA‑accredited HEO‑Forklift NC‑II certification.
