SEO Specialist – Remote

About the role

Unity Communications is looking for an SEO Specialist to boost organic visibility across our web properties. You will work remotely, collaborating with content creators and developers to ensure our sites are crawl‑friendly, well‑indexed, and consistently rank for target keywords.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize published content using keyword strategy, metadata, headers, internal linking, image optimization, and schema markup.
• Manage SEO implementation in WordPress and other CMS platforms, including plugin configuration and metadata management.
• Monitor indexing, crawlability, and site health via Google Search Console and other SEO tools.
• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, duplicate content, canonicalization, and Core Web Vitals deficiencies.
• Conduct regular technical SEO audits covering site architecture, page speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data.
• Coordinate with developers to implement SEO recommendations and technical improvements.
• Develop ethical link‑building campaigns, monitor backlink profiles, and manage disavow processes when needed.
• Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, crawl health, and backlink performance, producing actionable performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hands‑on SEO experience covering on‑page, technical, and link‑building initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
