Medical Science Liaison – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to support its post‑approval portfolio for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. In this position you will act as the scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, translating complex clinical data into actionable insights and helping to shape evidence‑based medical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the in‑house thought leader for assigned products, maintaining deep knowledge of treatment guidelines, pipeline therapies and the competitive landscape.
• Identify, segment and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, academic experts and specialty societies to facilitate scientific exchange, advisory boards and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Collect and analyse field insights on clinical practice trends, unmet needs and regulatory developments, delivering tailored reports to inform evidence‑generation strategies.
• Design and deliver medical training programmes and educational materials for internal and external audiences, ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Medical Affairs policies, SOPs and field‑engagement procedures.
• Mentor junior MSLs and represent Medical Affairs on cross‑functional project teams, supporting launch preparation, evidence generation and market access initiatives.
