About the role
As a Transport Planner you will design and execute the daily transport plan, coordinating with customer service, warehouse staff and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of goods.
Key responsibilities
- Capture all pre‑alerts for the day and prepare an initial transport plan.
- Book trucks and provide the Transport Supervisor with a view of the day’s schedule.
- Capture post‑alerts, finalize the plan including redeliveries and manual transactions (DTS, Walk EZ, PUMA).
- Upload the final plan to the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Verify that all pending cargoes are included based on customer service remarks.
- Advise the Full‑Truck‑Load (FTL) team for principal approval and report any under‑utilisation.
- Prepare and send buy‑and‑sell performance reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Minimum four years of logistics or transport planning experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS).
- Familiarity with manual transaction tools such as DTS, Walk EZ and PUMA.
