Legal Officer – Corporate Governance

About the role

Join Mercator® by Citco as a Legal Officer focused on corporate subsidiary governance. You will work independently and support senior lawyers in delivering end‑to‑end legal services for multinational clients across more than 170 jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers in providing corporate subsidiary governance services to global clients.
• Prepare and review legal documents throughout the company lifecycle, from incorporation to dissolution, ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and deadlines.
• Perform or monitor statutory filings with local authorities.
• Coordinate with business partners, clients, and colleagues worldwide to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Ensure client, local, international, and industry‑specific requirements are met and share relevant legal updates.
• Maintain data integrity and produce accurate reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Law (or final‑year law student).
• At least 1 year of experience providing corporate services to international clients, or 2 years in corporate law.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible, proactive, detail‑oriented, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
