Train Operation Engineer

About the role

The Train Operation Engineer will support the planning and implementation of the MMSP train operations programme. This role provides continuous technical assistance from the pre‑operation stage through the first year of interoperation, ensuring smooth transition to commercial service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of the MMSP Train Operation Plan and Interoperation Plan, analysing operational data and coordinating technical inputs under the guidance of the Train Operation Expert.
• Provide technical input for the IOT’s O&M deliverables and assist the MMSP O&M Concessionaire in preparing for commercial operations.
• Deliver ongoing technical support on train operation matters from pre‑operation through the first year of interoperation, supplying inputs to the Senior O&M Integration Engineer for periodic reporting to DOTr.
• Progressively assume greater technical responsibility through specialist knowledge transfer from the Train Operation Expert.
• Perform other duties necessary to ensure successful delivery of consulting services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Railway, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Open to candidates of any gender.
