Software QA Analyst

About the role

Unifin, Inc is seeking a Software QA Analyst to ensure the quality of its internal software systems. The role focuses on manual testing while offering opportunities to work with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, regression suites, and related documentation.
• Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration, and user‑acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, reproduce, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate directly with developers to troubleshoot issues, clarify expected behavior, and validate fixes.
• Participate in requirements and release discussions, providing QA feedback on testability, risks, and readiness.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable frameworks (preferred).
• Maintain reliable automated test suites and investigate failures in partnership with developers.
• Document test results, defect records, release validation artifacts, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience in software quality assurance with strong manual testing fundamentals.
• Understanding of software development and QA life cycles, defect management, and regression testing.
• Automation experience is a plus; candidates with solid manual QA skills may be considered at junior or mid‑level.
