Senior Project Associate – Climate Action

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support climate‑action and migration resilience initiatives in Mindanao, particularly within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Working under the Head of Sub‑Office and coordinated with the National Project Officer (Climate Action) in Manila, the role focuses on implementing and monitoring climate‑resilience programmes that align with IOM policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of migration‑related climate resilience projects in BARMM.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Prepare regular project reports, track performance indicators, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and capacity‑building activities.
• Ensure compliance with IOM’s operational standards and documentation requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights Law or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, OR a high‑school diploma with seven years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in liaising with government bodies, UN agencies, and NGOs.
• Demonstrated experience implementing migration and climate‑resilience projects in the Philippines, especially in BARMM.
• Strong background in project implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
