Medical Review Physician (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Medical Review Physician to join its global Case Management team on a home‑based basis in the Philippines. You will support project teams by reviewing safety data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the design and analysis of clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and safety support to project teams, guaranteeing ethical conduct and regulatory compliance.
• Review coding and assess adverse events and adverse drug reactions for seriousness, expectedness, and relatedness.
• Conduct comprehensive Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) medical reviews across all therapeutic areas, meeting quality standards and regulatory timelines.
• Offer medical and regulatory guidance to cross‑functional teams to enable case management and review work.
• Train, coach, and mentor GPS scientists and physicians on clinical and safety science.
• Support operational management and oversight of case management activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) or equivalent.
• Experience in pharmacovigilance and drug safety within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
• Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
