Legal Billing Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Legal Billing Specialist to become the operational backbone of a national law firm’s billing function. This full‑time position will own high‑volume billing workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across corporate, transactional, and insurance defense matters.

Key responsibilities

• Execute billing and invoicing for corporate and transactional matters.
• Manage insurance defense billing, adhering to carrier rules and e‑billing requirements.
• Support accounts receivable processes, including tracking and reconciliation.
• Assist with accounts payable tasks related to legal expenses.
• Maintain detailed billing records and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in legal billing within a law‑firm environment.
• Familiarity with insurance defense billing and carrier billing rules (highly preferred).
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a strong ability to spot inconsistencies.
• Capacity to manage high‑volume invoicing and meet strict deadlines.
