Intermediate BIM Technician – MEP

About the role

We are looking for a technically skilled and detail‑oriented Intermediate BIM Technician – MEP to support the design, modeling, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across diverse building projects. The role bridges junior technicians and senior coordinators, offering meaningful contribution to project delivery and digital workflow innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems using Revit MEP and related tools, and produce high‑quality 2D documentation such as layouts, schematics, sections, and details.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clash‑free coordination, participate in coordination meetings, and support the BIM Coordinator with model federation and clash detection using Navisworks.
• Conduct regular model audits, maintain revision records, and assist in implementing BIM Execution Plans.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians, maintain BIM content libraries, and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Extract quantities and schedules from models for cost estimation, support 4D‑6D BIM applications, and explore automation tools like Dynamo.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture or related field.
• 3–6 years of BIM modeling experience focused on MEP systems.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, and coordination principles.

Required skills

• Revit MEP
• AutoCAD
• Navisworks (or similar clash detection tools)
• BIM 360 or ACC (preferred)
• Dynamo and Python scripting (preferred)
