Insights & Analytics Junior Analyst

About the role

As an Insights & Analytics Junior Analyst you will ensure PayMongo’s dashboards, reports and data are accurate, reliable and useful for decision‑making. You will work with product, finance, commercial, operations, marketing and risk teams, gaining broad exposure to a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate dashboards and recurring reports, checking metrics, filters, calculations and visualisations for accuracy.
• Write and improve SQL queries for analysis and data validation, investigating unusual trends, discrepancies or anomalies.
• Help maintain a clear data dictionary and metric definitions, documenting calculations, data sources and limitations.
• Prepare and validate weekly and monthly reporting packs for leadership, investors and regulatory stakeholders.
• Identify repetitive reporting tasks that can be automated, define requirements and test automated outputs.

Required profile

• Curious, detail‑oriented, structured and dependable.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills and ability to query and validate data.
• Good working knowledge of spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and written communication skills.
• Reliable approach to deadlines and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new analytics tools and business concepts.
