In-house Legal Counsel

About the role

The In‑house Legal Counsel will join Intellect’s operations team, providing comprehensive legal support to commercial, sales and partnership functions. You will ensure contracts and business initiatives align with the company’s strategic objectives while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, RFPs, tenders and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice on corporate matters, restructuring, financing, new market entry and entity formation.
• Collaborate with clinical and product teams on policies, terms of service, consent requirements, privacy policies and data‑transfer protocols.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with market expansion and healthcare coverage.
• Liaise with company secretary, external solicitors and other advisors on corporate and litigation matters.
• Lead fundraising legal negotiations, transactional closings and post‑closing filing requirements.
• Deliver presentations and training on legal review processes to business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Commonwealth‑qualified lawyer with expertise in English and Singapore law.
• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience in private practice or in‑house legal roles.
• Strong analytical ability and sound legal judgment.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills in English.
• Adaptable, pragmatic and solution‑oriented, able to work collaboratively across markets.
• Willingness to work remotely (Philippines, Indonesia) or in a hybrid setting (Malaysia).
