Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the Finance Department of the Philippines entity, reporting to the Finance Director – APAC and dotted‑line to the Country Head. The role ensures robust financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and corporate governance in line with internal requirements and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the finance team, guaranteeing accurate financial reporting and compliance with Philippine accounting standards.
• Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, BIR requirements, and tax obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulators.
• Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risks to safeguard the company’s financial health.
• Maintain and update company policies to meet statutory and internal compliance needs.
• Provide guidance to the Board of Directors on financial governance issues.
• Implement and assess internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a Finance Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Deep knowledge of corporate governance, accounting principles, Philippine financial regulations and tax laws.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
