Buyer III – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer III is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and negotiating a wide range of goods and services, from food and beverage to technical and IT commodities. The role requires deep knowledge of specialized markets to influence procurement decisions for complex and critical items.

Key responsibilities

• Research suppliers from both traditional and unconventional sources.
• Develop procurement and negotiation strategies based on multiple variables.
• Conduct price analysis and obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate terms, coordinate with logistics, and define transportation and delivery plans.
• Manage supplier performance to ensure consistent service, high quality, and cost efficiency.
• Provide guidance to junior buyers and collaborate with management on unusual situations.
• Travel to trade shows, audit suppliers, and visit loading sites as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of procurement or specialized technical purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
