Billing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Billing Specialist to manage invoicing, billing operations, and account reconciliation, primarily for payroll‑related services. The role is fully remote and requires strong analytical abilities, accuracy, and effective communication in English.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and send accurate client invoices linked to payroll runs, including per‑payroll, per‑employee, or per‑cycle billing models.
• Handle non‑standard billing scenarios such as off‑cycle runs, correction runs, retroactive adjustments, and one‑off arrangements.
• Track outstanding invoices, support collections, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain billing records, reconcile billed amounts against contracts, and process client payments.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries.
• Prepare aging reports, support month‑end billing close, and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related finance functions.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced use of spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) for tracking and reporting.
• Experience with the Prism payroll platform (or willingness to be trained).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to improve efficiency.
