Airfreight Specialist – Import Operations

About the role

As part of the country‑level operations team, the Airfreight Specialist (Import) is responsible for the end‑to‑end transactional and administrative execution of import shipments. The role ensures compliance with customs regulations, internal procedures, and CEVA’s operational excellence standards while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate all import documents (pre‑alert, e‑manifest, draft invoice) to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate freight booking, booking optimisation, and arrange collection, pickup, and final‑mile delivery with service partners.
• Maintain shipment files, update status, and communicate arrival, delays, and availability to internal and external customers.
• Interact with accredited brokers and government agencies for customs clearance requirements.
• Monitor KPIs, support incident management, and propose performance improvements for suppliers and carriers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years experience in freight forwarding, air‑freight or customs brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, air cargo freight forwarding, and electronic manifest submission.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail, and ability to work in a busy environment.
