About the role
The Transport Optimizer joins Nestlé Business Services’ operational team to plan and optimise freight movements across the supply chain. You will be the first point of contact for order creators, turning freight units into actionable, mode‑optimal freight orders while respecting shipping schedules, delivery dates and planning cut‑offs.
Key responsibilities
- Build actionable load plans for warehousing and hauling service providers.
- Perform load planning promptly and highlight planning exceptions as they arise.
- Consolidate disparate transportation demand into mode‑optimal freight orders, maximising vehicle utilisation.
- Transform freight units into freight orders that meet source/destination schedules, requested delivery dates and cutoff times.
- Act as the primary contact for STO order creators, ensuring smooth order creation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or transportation planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong analytical, detail‑oriented and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication in English and a collaborative team mindset.
- Adaptable, self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
