Tax and Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Analyst will ensure accurate recording of financial transactions to the General Ledger, support month‑end and year‑end closing, and assist the AP Retail team with finance and tax matters. Working in a hybrid setting, you will collaborate closely with the Finance and Accounting team to uphold compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and ensure conformity with accounting standards and company policies.
• Perform regular substantiation, reconciliation, and analysis of assigned GL accounts to verify accuracy of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expense balances.
• Prepare corrective entries and adjustments as needed.
• Complete month‑end and year‑end tasks, including accruals and cost completeness checks.
• Support the AP Retail function in finance, accounting, and tax‑related activities, including tax claims and refunds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), SEC regulations, and Internal Revenue regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver accurate results quickly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automated financial systems (ERP).
• Strong knowledge of PFRS.
• Understanding of SEC regulations.
• Understanding of Internal Revenue regulations.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
