Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring a Software Engineer for a leading financial services client to develop and maintain core financial platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure backend services that handle real-time financial transactions for a global user base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement robust security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software‑engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems, payment processing, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
