Python Software Engineer – Backend & Cloud

About the role

We are looking for a Python Software Engineer to join TP ICAP’s Technology team in Manila. The role will focus on backend development, automation and cloud‑based solutions, working on middle‑office and third‑party integration applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise Python applications, APIs and automation tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Write clean, well‑tested code following best practices and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues across development and deployment environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA and product teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Implement performance, reliability and automation improvements.
• Document processes, technical designs and system behaviour.

Required profile

• Solid professional experience with Python.
• Experience building REST APIs with Django, FastAPI or Flask.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker or other containerisation technologies.
• Strong testing practice, preferably using pytest.
• Ability to debug, optimise code and work effectively in a team.
