Project Analyst – Biodiversity Conservation

About the role

The Project Analyst will support the implementation of a UNDP‑funded biodiversity conservation project in the Philippines, focusing on small islands such as Camiguin, Marinduque and Panaon. The role provides day‑to‑day operational and technical assistance to ensure effective delivery of ridge‑to‑reef management models and financing pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical support for project activities, including data collection, monitoring and reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of OECM, integrated ecosystem management and nature‑based solutions.
• Support the preparation of financing proposals, eco‑tourism reinvestment plans and payments for ecosystem services pilots.
• Coordinate with DENR‑Biodiversity Management Bureau, local government units and other stakeholders to align project actions with national biodiversity strategies.
• Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned and replication frameworks.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in environmental science, natural resources management, or related field.
• Experience working on biodiversity conservation or climate‑resilience projects, preferably in a development or UN context.

Required skills

• Knowledge of biodiversity conservation frameworks such as OECM and PBSAP.
• Familiarity with data management and reporting tools.
