Personal Loans Business Development Manager

About the role

The Personal Loans Business Development Manager will drive growth of BPI’s personal loan portfolio within the non‑depositor segment. The role focuses on acquiring new customers through strategic partnerships, digital channels, and enhanced product offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute acquisition strategies for personal loans targeting non‑depositor customers.
• Establish and manage partnerships with telcos, delivery services, aggregators and other external firms.
• Strengthen digital, third‑party, and telesales channels to increase loan disbursements.
• Collaborate with Credit Risk to refine underwriting criteria and improve approval rates.
• Work with Sales, Distribution and Digital Solutions teams to broaden market coverage.
• Monitor competitive activity, market trends and customer needs to design effective campaigns.
• Partner with Business Analytics and MIS to build performance monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Manage operating expenses related to advertising, publicity and sales activities.
• Supervise 1–2 Marketing Associates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing, Sales, Business Intelligence or Product Development.
• 1–2 years experience in personal loans or unsecured lending (preferred).
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.
• Self‑starter with a results‑oriented mindset.
