Mechatronics Trainer – Technical Training Specialist

About the role

The Technical Training Specialist for Mechatronics Servicing designs, delivers, and evaluates technical training programs that develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies of learners in the mechatronics and automation field. The role combines classroom instruction, hands‑on lab work, and mentorship to ensure trainees meet national and industry competency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions on Mechatronics Servicing following the prescribed curriculum.
• Prepare instructional materials, learning modules, and assessment tools in line with TESDA or institutional guidelines.
• Facilitate learner‑centered training using appropriate teaching methods and technology.
• Supervise and assist students during hands‑on mechanical, electronic, and electro‑mechanical training.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate learner competencies.
• Maintain and manage training tools, equipment, and laboratory facilities.
• Provide technical and behavioral guidance, monitor progress, attendance, and safety compliance.
• Participate in curriculum development, Training‑of‑Trainers (TOT) programs, and continuous professional development.
• Perform OJT visits, monitor student placements, and coordinate with industry partners.

Required profile

• Graduate of BS Industrial Technology, Technical Education, Engineering or related field.
• Preferably holds a National Certificate (NC II or higher) in Mechatronics Servicing.
• Trainer’s Methodology Certificate (TM I or higher) or willingness to obtain it.
• 3‑5 years of combined technical teaching and industry experience in mechatronics, automation, robotics, or maintenance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and familiarity with safety protocols and industry standards.
