General Manager – Durable Goods Retail Operations

About the role

We are a diversified group seeking a high‑caliber General Manager to lead and scale our durable‑goods retail business across the Philippines. Reporting directly to ownership and senior leadership, you will own full operational and profit accountability for a network of roughly 200 stores and 2,000 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies to meet revenue, margin and profitability targets.
• Drive consistent execution of retail standards, policies and procedures across all locations.
• Optimize store productivity, workforce effectiveness and overall operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop senior management and field leadership teams.
• Establish robust KPI frameworks, performance‑management systems and reporting disciplines.
• Strengthen organizational capability through talent assessment, succession planning and leadership development.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve performance.
• Partner with ownership on growth initiatives, business expansion and strategic priorities.
• Maintain full accountability for the retail business’s P&L performance.

Required profile

• Proven success in a General Manager, COO, Operations Head, Retail Director or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Experience leading large‑scale, multi‑location retail operations (≈200 stores, 2,000 staff).
• Strong track record of P&L management and profitability improvement.
• Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams through multiple layers of leadership.
• Excellent analytical, organizational‑diagnosis and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Hands‑on, execution‑oriented leadership style with a focus on change and performance.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder‑management and leadership‑development skills.
