About the role

The Disaster and Risk Reduction Assistant will support the implementation of disaster risk reduction strategies and initiatives. This role involves assisting in the creation of disaster management plans, conducting risk assessments, and contributing to community awareness programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development and updating of disaster management plans.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation measures.
• Participate in training sessions and capacity‑building activities for staff and community members.
• Support community engagement and awareness programs related to disaster preparedness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in disaster management or related areas.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
