Director – Workplace Management & Hospitality

About the role

The Asian Development Bank is seeking a senior leader to head its Workplace Management and Hospitality Division. Based at the ADB headquarters in Manila, you will drive service excellence across facilities operations, space planning, and hospitality services, supporting the Bank’s mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the division’s strategic and operational work programmes, aligning outputs with corporate and institutional priorities.
• Oversee day‑to‑day facilities operations, including preventive maintenance, upgrades, and critical building systems.
• Manage soft‑service functions such as cleaning, landscaping, hygiene, and disinfection.
• Direct capital‑expenditure (CAPEX) and lifecycle projects, supervising design, construction, and renovation works for headquarters and field offices.
• Develop and enforce governance frameworks for workplans, budgets, contracts, and sustainability/wellness programmes, ensuring ISO and institutional compliance.
• Guide workplace and space management, including allocation strategies, design standards, branding, and environmental graphics.
• Enhance hospitality services (events, F&B, executive suites) to improve user experience and value for money.
• Provide leadership to technical and local staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in business management, engineering, architecture, facilities management or a related field.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in facilities or workplace management, preferably within large, complex organisations.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets, CAPEX projects and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and compliance requirements.
