Crane Operator – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our construction team. You will operate both hydro‑RT (swing) and truck‑mounted (fixed) cranes on highway and civil projects, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned crane safely in various site conditions, including high‑density and low‑clearance areas.
• Conduct equipment inspections and evaluate hoisting criteria before each shift.
• Coordinate daily activities with the crew foreman, supervisors, and hoisting crew.
• Inspect work sites to determine sequencing, identify hazards, and establish safe work methods.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and assist with repairs as needed.
• Use measurement tools (tape measures, lasers, grade rods, eye levels, transit levels) to verify work complies with specifications and schedules.
• Travel to and from job sites as required.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience operating hydro‑RT cranes on highway or civil construction projects.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, lift and carry objects up to 75 lb and work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA, federal, state and company policies.
