Contract Manager (Infrastructure Projects)

About the role

The Contract Manager will oversee all contractual aspects of assigned infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client, contractor, financier, and regulatory requirements. This role safeguards commercial interests, supports procurement, and manages claims throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer construction and consultancy contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, specifications, and regulations.
• Interpret contract provisions and provide guidance to project teams.
• Lead preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of claims such as extensions of time, variations, and cost claims.
• Assess contractor submissions against contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC) and support dispute resolution processes.
• Monitor contract costs, variations, and financial exposure; review and certify payment applications.
• Identify contractual risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and legal advisors, providing contractual advice in project meetings.
• Support audit processes and external reviews, maintaining accurate contract documentation and registers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract administration for infrastructure or construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
• Strong understanding of contractual risk management and compliance requirements.
• Effective stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
