Construction Cost Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Cost Estimator to join our remote team and support an independent cost‑estimating firm. The role involves developing conceptual and detailed cost estimates for projects across all design phases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design‑development and construction‑document cost estimates and comprehensive budgets.
• Perform detailed quantity take‑offs for all CSI construction divisions, including sitework, structural, architectural and MEP systems.
• Analyze drawings, specifications and project narratives to identify scope, assumptions and risk factors.
• Provide estimate revisions, alternates and value‑engineering recommendations to optimise costs while maintaining quality.
• Monitor material, labour and subcontractor pricing trends and apply market insights to improve estimate competitiveness.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Present estimates and findings clearly to internal teams and clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+ – C1).

Required skills

• Knowledge of building systems, construction methods and current market trends.
• Experience with quantity take‑off and cost analysis across construction divisions.
• Understanding of value engineering and cost optimisation techniques.
