Compliance Head

About the role

The Compliance Head will lead BPI/MS Insurance’s compliance management framework, ensuring adherence to Insurance Commission regulations, AMLA requirements, data privacy laws and internal policies. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role works closely with senior management, regulators and business leaders to embed a strong culture of compliance and manage regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and controls aligned with insurance regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes, implement timely compliance directives and oversee testing programs to verify adherence.
• Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments and provide advisory support to business units on regulatory implications.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk Management, Internal Audit and operational teams to ensure integrated governance.
• Lead regulatory engagement, reporting and communication with the Insurance Commission and other authorities.
• Support investigations of compliance incidents and drive corrective actions to close gaps.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or risk management within the insurance sector.
• Deep knowledge of Philippine Insurance Commission regulations, AMLA, and data privacy legislation.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive governance initiatives.
• Strong analytical and advisory skills with a track record of managing complex regulatory projects.
