Collections Manager – Credit Control

About the role

The Collections Manager will lead Acclime’s credit control function, overseeing the debtor ledger and driving improvements in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple countries to ensure timely collection of receivables and enhance credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for managing Acclime’s debtor ledger and achieving DSO targets.
• Develop and monitor a Group‑wide credit control system in partnership with Group Finance.
• Lead and coach junior credit team members.
• Liaise with Country Heads, Partners and Managers to resolve collection issues and implement improvement strategies.
• Train local accounts staff on debt collection policies, procedures and strategies.
• Negotiate payment plans with clients and maintain accurate client files.
• Conduct regular analysis of the credit‑control system and implement necessary changes.
• Escalate payment issues to appropriate teams and handle ad‑hoc matters as they arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, collections or finance operations, preferably in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Proven track record of managing debtor ledgers and improving DSO performance.
• Strong people‑management and coaching abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial/accounting systems or ERP platforms.
